Throughout the summer most clubs run junior opens, with events running from U8 round robin (multi-match) to U18 Singles events. Our kids are encouraged to take part in some of these events as it gives them an opportunity to rally and play kids from other clubs, it also gives kids and parents a bigger picture of the tennis community.
A lot of tournaments are now requesting that juniors have PIN’s, so as to facilitate on-line entry to tournaments / Opens. This number not only allows for on-line entry to events but also help feed the National Junior Ranking system (a ranking system for U12’s / U14’s / U16’s and U18’s). Although not compulsory yet more and more clubs are requesting it on registration even from an Under8 level. (Hope this does not sound too complicated – it’s really not).
