The senior section of the club includes a large number of members playing at all levels. We offer a friendly atmosphere where we promote not only tennis but also the social side of the club.
There are six courts which are maintained to a very high standard and an excellent floodlight system allowing play until 10pm everyday. The club is managed by a professional tennis coach backed up by number of committees and volunteers.
Members organise there own games during the week and the club runs numerous events every month where members play and socialise together. There are a number of professional coaches attached to the club who offer individual and group lessons as well as being active members.
A large number of members enter opens during the spring and autumn months, along with our own internal competitions. The club hosts two senior opens each year, one for singles and one for doubles.
Singles Box League:
A monthly competition, which promotions and demotions based on the amount of points earned.
Spring and Autumn Leagues
An internal doubles competition with a number of teams playing each other over number of Sunday evenings, followed by a social evening in the local tavern.
Tennis and Tea
Every Wednesday morning members meet for a social game followed by a tea / coffee in the club house
Doubles Blitz
Held twice a month, where members play short games of tennis, then change partners. With a small prize for the winner. Normally held on a Friday from 6:30 to 8:00, one night for the ladies and one for the men.
Hitting practice
Held on Saturday mornings from 10:30 to 12:00. It consists of a number of drill designed to improve your game.
Closed Championship
A members internal competition in singles and doubles.
